The Kilgore Water, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Works, provides water for about 14,948 residents living in the area of Kilgore, a city in Gregg and Rusk counties in Texas. Established in 1872, the City of Kilgore Water System is currently obtaining its supply from two sources: surface water from the Sabine River, and groundwater from seven wells drawing from the Carrizo Wilcox Aquifer.
