The City of Pearland Water, under the City Public Works Department, provides water for about 110,415 residents living in the Pearland area. Established in 1894, the City of Pearland Water collects water from both groundwater and surface water sources. The City’s 10 water wells supply groundwater from the Evangeline and Chicote aquifers. Surface water is supplied through the City’s agreement with the City of Houston and Gulf Coast Water Authority.
