City of Selma Utilities is a public community water system owned by the city under contract with Cibolo Creek Municipal Authority and Republic Services for administration to provide water to about 10,524 residents living in Selma, a city in Bexar, Comal, and Guadalupe counties in Texas. Founded in 1847, the City of Selma Utilities System currently obtains its supply from groundwater sources purchased from Schertz Seguin Local Government Corporat, which is also purchased from two sources: San Antonio Water System in San Antonio, Texas, drawn from the Carrizo-Wilcox Source Water and in Bexar County, drawn from the Edwards Aquifer.
