The Brentwood Water Corporation - Jamestown Road provides water services to about 5,362 residents of Morganton and Glen Alpine in Burke County, North Carolina. Brentwood Water Corporation buys water from the City of Morganton, which draws surface water from the Catawba River. The water is pumped to a Class A treatment facility, the Catawba River WTP at 100 Coulter St. Morganton, which treats water with National Safety Foundation-approved chemicals. Poly-aluminum chloride is added for coagulation, Sodium Hypochlorite for disinfection, Polyphosphate for corrosion control, and hydrofluorosilic acid for dental health promotion. The water is considered soft and has a hardness range of 15-35 parts per million.
