Waxahachie has multiple water providers: Waxahachie Water and Buena Vista Bethel Sud. This page provides information about Buena Vista Bethel Sud.
The Buena Vista Bethel Special Utility District supplies water through 2,100 connections to about 5,193 residents living in the Waxahachie area of Ellis County, Texas. The water company was founded in 1964 as the Buena Vista-Bethel Water Supply Corporation and became a special utility district in 1992. Its water comes from five deep wells and pump stations in the Trinity Sands Aquifer, and it receives additional supply from the City of Waxahachie during emergencies. The groundwater sources include Wells 1811 at Old May Pearl, 3813 at FM 1446, 852 on Hoyt Road, and 3800 at FM 66. The District utilizes National Safety Foundation-approved chemicals for drinking water treatment.
