Centerville Municipal Waterworks, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Works, provides water to about 5,600 residents living in Centerville, Iowa. Founded in 1876, the Centerville Municipal Waterworks System currently purchases its supply from Rathbun Regional Water Association, Inc. (RRWA) which draws water from Chariton River and Rathbun Lake.
