The City of Eldridge Water, a public community water system under the Utilities Department, provides water to about 6,726 residents living in Eldridge, Scott County, Iowa. Founded between 1840 and 1848, the City of Eldridge Water System currently obtains its supply from the Silurian Aquifer, a groundwater source that drills into the dolomite limestone underneath the area.
