The City of Alpine Water supplies water to about 6,000 residents in the Alpine area of Brewster County, Texas. The City of Alpine Water Department obtains 65% of its water from the Musquiz Well Field located 10 miles north of Alpine, 30% from the Sunny Glen Well Field 8 miles northwest of Alpine, and 5% from small wells. The water originates from the Igneous Aquifer in Brewster and Jeff Davies Counties, and the water is disinfected before distribution.
