The city of Heath Utilities is a public community water system under the local government that provides water to about 9,162 residents living in Heath, in Rockwall and Kaufman counties, Texas. Founded in 1880, the City of Heath Utilities System currently purchases its supply from the City of Rockwall. The Wylie Water Treatment Plant provides treated surface water to Rockwall through the North Texas Municipal Water District. The following reservoirs provide the water: Lavon in Collin County, Jim Chapman in Tawakoni is situated in Hunt, Rains, and Van Zandt Counties, Texoma is in Grayson County, Hopkins and Delta Counties, and the East Fork Raw Water Wetland supply project in Kaufman County.
