The City of Sherman Water, a public community water system under the City Services Department – Water Division, provides water for about 40,600 residents living in the area of Sherman, Texas. Established in 1850, the City of Sherman Water System is currently obtaining its supply from a blend of sources: ground water pumped from Sherman’s 24 wells in the Woodbine and Trinity Aquifers, and surface water drawn from Lake Texoma.
