The East Central Special Utility District (SUD) provides water for about 16,038 residents living in the Adkins area, Bexar County, Texas. Established in 1960, the East Central SUD purchases water from San Antonio Water System and the Canyon Regional Water Authority (CRWA) Well Ranch. The San Antonio Water System draws groundwater from the Edwards Aquifer located in Bexar County. The CRWA Well Ranch draws groundwater from Carrizo and Wilcox Aquifers located in Guadalupe and Gonzales Counties.
