The City of Farmers Branch Water provides water for about 31,560 residents living in the Farmers Branch area, Texas. Established in 1946, the City of Farmers Branch purchases water through an agreement with the City of Dallas which uses surface water from seven sources: the Elm Fork of the Trinity River, Lake Ray Roberts, Lake Lewisville, Lake Grapevine, Lake Ray Hubbard, Lake Tawakoni, and Lake Fork. Also, Dallas has water rights in Lake Palestine to meet future needs.

WaterZen Rating

Lead levels in the drinking water of some cities across the United States are too high, potentially creating public-health issues for the people living in those areas.

What about Farmers Branch Water? How much lead is in your drinking water? And how do those levels compare to other cities in the state? We examined data from hundreds of cities across the nation to understand and grade your water quality.

As you can see, Farmers Branch Water received the best-possible grade because the amounts of contaminants found in the water supply were better than the Public Health Goal and most other water providers we've analyzed.
