The GM Water Supply Corporation, a not-for-profit corporation, provides water services to about 11,220 residents in the Hemphill area in Sabine and San Augustine Counties, Texas. The member-owned Water Supply Department was founded in 1968 and obtains water from its three wells and a micro-filtration surface water plant drawing from Toledo Bend Reservoir in the lowest Creek area. The Water Department also receives water from Hemphill's surface water plant and the city of Pineland's wells.
