Hillsborough County Public Utilities supplies water for more than 600,000 residents of 11 communities in the Tampa-St. Petersburg, Florida metropolitan area. Established in 1967, Hillsborough County Public Utilities is one of six member governments of Tampa Bay Water, the region's wholesale water provider, which sources water from the Floridan Aquifer, the Alafia and Hillsborough Rivers, and the Tampa Bypass Canal.

Consumer Confidence Water Quality Reports
Under the authority of the Safe Drinking Water Act, the EPA requires Hillsborough county water to assess local water quality each year and distribute a Consumer Confidence Water Quality Report.
The information in this report includes the source of your water, whether your water meets EPA standards, detailed tables of detected contaminants, detailed descriptions of those contaminants, possible reasons why they're present, and potential health effects (if any).
