The Town of Jamestown Water, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Services, provides water to about 6,543 residents living in Jamestown, Guilford County, North Carolina. Founded in the 1950s, the Town of Jamestown Water System currently purchases its supply from various surface water sources: the Piedmont Triad Regional Water Authority (PTRWA) that draws from Randleman Lake, the Cities of High Point draw from Arnold J. Koonce, Jr., City Lake, Oak Hollow Lake, and Greensboro that draw from Lake Townsend and Lake Brandt. Additionally, all raw water is pumped into the filtration plants for treatment and then delivered to the Town of Jamestown through the water distribution systems of High Point and Greensboro.
