The Jonestown Water Supply Corporation is a member-owned, non-profit Public Water System that supplies water to about 5,316 residents living in the Jonestown area of Travis County, Texas. Jonestown Water Supply Corporation obtains water from the Sandy Creek Arm of Lake Travis. The surface water is pretreated with sodium permanganate before it is pumped to the water treatment facility, where it undergoes coagulation, filtration, and disinfection with chloramine. Jonestown's water has 11 grains per gallon hardness and .023 parts per million iron content.
