The Lee Hammond Water Users Cooperative Association, Inc. provides water services to about 5,078 residents in the Bloomfield and Farmington areas of San Juan County, New Mexico. Founded in 1967, Lee Hammond Water Users Cooperative Association operates seven storage tanks, a surface water treatment plant, and eight pump stations and obtains water from the San Juan River. Aluminum sulfate and a cationic polymer are used to treat the water, which is chlorinated and distributed by approximately 95 miles of water mains. The Water Department may receive emergency water supply from the City of Bloomfield.
