Town of Taos Water, a public community water system under the Water and Wastewater Division of the Department of Public Works, provides water to about 5,528 residents living in Taos, New Mexico. Founded in 1934, the Town of Taos Water System currently obtains its supply from groundwater sources, primarily four wells that drill into the Alluvial Aquifer or Lana Formation underneath the area.
