The Moongate Water System supplies water to about 8,554 residents living in the Organ area in Doña Ana County. Founded in 1971, Moongate Water System collects water from deep groundwater wells in the Joranda Del Muerto Basin.

Under the authority of the Safe Drinking Water Act, the EPA requires Moongate Water to assess local water quality each year and distribute a Consumer Confidence Water Quality Report.
