The City of Littlefield Water supplies water to about 6,372 residents living in the Littlefield area of Lamb County. Littlefield Water Department collects water from eight groundwater wells in the Ogallala Aquifer, which is located 12 miles north of the City and includes 7,360 acres. The City receives an emergency supply from the City of Lubbock's Bailey County Wellfield. The water contains a fluoride additive, which promotes strong teeth.
