The City of Lumberton Water, under the City Public Works Department, provides water for about 25,707 residents living in the Lumberton area, North Carolina. Established in 1987, the Lumberton City Water obtains its supply from a combination of surface water that is pumped from the Lumber River and groundwater sources from seven deep wells located near the Lumber River. The Wells and Lumber River are fed from the Black Creek aquifer.

WaterZen Rating

Lead levels in the drinking water of some cities across the United States are too high, potentially creating public-health issues for the people living in those areas.

What about Lumberton Water? How much lead is in your drinking water? And how do those levels compare to other cities in the state? We examined data from hundreds of cities across the nation to understand and grade your water quality.

As you can see, Lumberton Water received the best-possible grade because the amounts of contaminants found in the water supply were better than the Public Health Goal and most other water providers we've analyzed.
