The City of Mexia Water, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Works, provides water to about 7,459 residents living in Mexia, Limestone County, Texas. Founded in the 19th century, the City of Mexia Water System currently purchases its supply from Bistone Municipal Water Supply, obtained from groundwater sources, primarily wells that drill into the Wilcox Aquifer underneath the area.
