The City of Pampa Water Department, a public community water system under the Water Distribution of the Department of Public Works, supplies water to about 18,000 residents living in Pampa, a city in Gray County, Texas. Founded in 1912, the City of Pampa Water Department System currently obtains its supply from a blend of sources: groundwater supply from wells pumped from the Ogallala Aquifer in Roberts County and the south part of the City of Pampa, and surface water supply from Lake Meredith.
