The Poweshiek Water Association, a 357A Public Body association composed of a nine-Director Board, provides water for about 13,920 residents living in Brooklyn, a city in Poweshiek County, Iowa. Established in 1978, the Poweshiek Water Association System currently obtains its groundwater supply from 14 alluvial wells which are treated in their two treatment facilities: one is three miles south of Tama on Highway 63, and the second is at 220th Trail by South Amana.
