The City of Raton Water Works provides water for about 9,733 residents of Raton City in Colfax County, New Mexico. The Water Department collects water from two surface water sources - Lake Maloya Watershed in Sugarite Canyon and the Cimarron River fed by Eagle Nest Lake. The raw water from both sources is treated to remove unwanted contaminants before supplying the community.
