Rochester has multiple water providers: Rochester Water Department and Rochester Water - East. This page provides information about Rochester Water Department.

The City of Rochester Water supplies water to about 7,130 residents living in the Rochester area of Oakland County, Michigan. The Rochester Water Department collects water from two different sources to serve the eastern and western parts of the City. The eastern region receives surface water from the lower Lake Huron watershed through the Great Lakes Water Authority's Water Treatment Plant in Lake Huron. The west side of the City is served water from five municipal wells that pump groundwater from Glacial Groundwater Aquifer.
