The City of Rochester Water-East, a public community water system under the Department of Public Works, provides water to about 5,500 residents living in Rochester, Oakland County, Michigan. Founded in 1837, the City of Rochester Water-East System currently purchases its supply from the Great Lakes Water Authority's Lake Huron Treatment Facility, which draws water from Lake Huron located offshore of Huron Lake.
