The Saginaw Charter Township, a public community water system under the Township Department of Public Services – Water Division, provides water for about 40,840 residents living in the area of Saginaw Township, Michigan. Established in 1831, the Saginaw Charter Township System is currently obtaining its supply via purchase from the Saginaw-Midland Municipal Water Supply Corporation (jointly-owned by the Cities of Saginaw and Midland), which uses surface water from Lake Huron through an intake near Whitestone Point.
