Town of Sawmills Water, a public community water system under the Water and Sewer Division of the Department of Public Utilities, provides water to about 5,524 residents living in Sawmills, southern Caldwell County, North Carolina. Founded in 1988, the Town of Sawmills Water System currently purchases its supply from the City of Lenoir, which draws surface water from the second reservoir in a chain of lakes, Lake Rhodhiss.
