Johns Island has multiple water providers: St. John's Water Company and Seabrook Island Utility Commission. This page provides information about Seabrook Island Utility Commission.

Seabrook Island Utility Commission is a private water utility company that provides water to about 5,939 residents living in Seabrook, Beaufort County, South Carolina. Founded in 1995 when the town acquired the Heater of Seabrook, Inc., a Minnesota Power and Water privately-owned utility, the Seabrook Island Utility Commission System currently purchases its supply from St. Johns Water System, a surface water provider that draws water from the Edisto River and Bushy Park Reservoir (its primary source), where raw water is first treated at the Charleston Water surface water facility before distribution to consumers.
