The Southwest Regional Water District (SWRWD), a water utility services operator, provides water for about 44,520 residents living in the area of Hamilton, Ohio. Established in 1984, the Southwest Regional Water District System is currently obtaining its supply from a groundwater source, wells that pump water from the Great Miami Buried Valley Aquifer. SWRWD has two treatment facilities: the W. Guy Metcalf Water Treatment Plant in Ross Township and the North Water Treatment Plant in St. Clair Township.
