The St. John the Baptist Parish Water District #3 (LaPlace), under the Parish Utilities Department provides water for about 29,872 residents living in the Laplace area, Louisiana. Established in 1807, the St. John Water District No. 3 currently obtains its supply from a groundwater source, two Ruddock wells pumping from the Covington Aquifer.
