Town of Sunnyvale Water, a public community water system under the Department of Utilities and Water, provides water to about 8,540 residents living in Sunnyvale, Dallas County, Texas. Founded in 1845, the Town of Sunnyvale Water System currently purchases its supply from the North Texas Municipal Water District Wylie Water Treatment Plant, a surface water source that draws its water from Lake Lavon located in Collin County, plus raw water From Lake Texoma and the East Fork Water Reuse Project.
