The Wellborn Special Utility District (SUD), a public community water system, provides water for about 25,677 residents living in the area of Wellborn, Texas. Established in 1963, the Wellborn Special Utility District System is currently obtaining its supply from a blend of groundwater from the Yegua and Simsboro Aquifers; and surface water from the Navasota River. Wellborn SUD also purchases water from the City of Bryan and the City of College Station.
