The West Travis County Public Utility Agency (WTCPUA) provides water for about 21,600 residents living in the Bee Cave area, Texas. Established in 1990, the West Travis County Public Utility Agency obtains its supply from a surface water source, Lake Austin. Lake Austin is a water reservoir on the Colorado River, maintained as a constant-level lake by releases of water from Lake Travis upstream.
