The City of Angola Utilities provides water services to about 8,612 residents living in the Angola area of Steuben County. Founded in 1921, the City of Angola Utilities utilizes groundwater from ten wells ranging from 80 to 244 feet deep and pumping from the St. Joseph River Basin Aquifer System into the City's two Water Treatment Plants. The water undergoes treatment processes such as aeration, filtration, softening, disinfection with chlorine, and fluoridation.
