The Tarrytown Water Supply provides water services to about 11,000 residents in the Tarrytown area of Westchester County, New York. The Tarrytown Water Supply obtains water from two sources - the New York City Catskill Aqueduct System, which provides a year-round water supply, and the high-quality aqueduct of Kensico Reservoir. The NYC Catskill water is disinfected with chlorine and treated with fluoride and ultraviolet light before distributing it to the customers. The Tarrytown Water Supply has an emergency supply arrangement with the New York City Croton Aqueduct for use when the main supply is available.
