Village of Walden Water, a public community water system under the City Water Works Division of the Department of Public Works, provides water to about 7,007 residents living in Walden, Montgomery, in Orange County, New York. Founded in 1736, the Village of Walden Water System currently obtains its supply from five wells. These are groundwater sources that drill into the sand and gravel aquifer underneath the area. Additionally, Wells Nos. 4, 5, and 6 are located off Route 52 in the Town of Montgomery and take water from the East Walden well fields, while Wells Nos. 7 and 8 are situated off of Lake Osiris Road in the same town.
