The City of Scappoose Water, a public community water system under the Public Works Division, provides water to about 8,710 residents living in Scappoose in Columbia County, Oregon. Founded in the 1920s, the City of Scappoose Water System currently obtains its supply from several blended sources. It draws water from Dutch Canyon Well, groundwater sources that drill into the aquifer underneath the area, and surface water from Keys Road Treatment Plant, which draws water from South Fork Scappoose Creek, Gourley Creek, and Lazy Creek. Furthermore, the Miller Road Treatment Plant is operational, which also draws water from two wells.
