The City of Talent Water, a public community water system under the Department of Public Works, provides water to about 6,293 residents living in Talent, Jackson County, Oregon. Founded in 1910, the City of Talent Water System currently purchases its supply from the Medford Water Commission, which provides water from blended sources: a majority from groundwater sources drawn from Big Butte Springs located outside the town of Butte Falls and a supplemental source from surface water sources drawn from the Rogue River. Furthermore, an emergency water source is also available from the City of Ashland.
