Established in 1904, the City of Bend Water Department is currently obtaining its supply from a combination of sources: surface water from the Bend Municipal Watershed; and groundwater from well fields located throughout the water distribution system that pumps water from the Deschutes Regional Aquifer, when the demands increase.
