The St Helens City Water, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Works, provides water for about 13,225 residents living in St. Helens, the county seat of Columbia County, Oregon. Established in 1850, St Helens City Water System currently obtains its groundwater supply primarily from a deep well collection system that is called the “Ranney collector wells” pump from Columbia River and another one located near Scappoose Bay Marina, a well that only operates during emergencies.
