The East Fork Special Utility District (East Fork SUD), a local corporate water services operating entity under the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, provides water for about 16,194 residents living in the area of Wylie, a city and northeastern suburb of Dallas, Texas. Initially established in 1966 as the East Fork Water Supply Corporation, and became a Special Utility District in May of 1993, the East Fork SUD Water System is currently obtaining its supply via purchase from the North Texas MWD - Wylie WTP, which provides surface water from Lake Lavon in Collin County.
