The Town of Guilderland Water Department provides water for about 30,000 residents living in the Guilderland area, New York. Established in 1803, the Town of Guilderland Water Department currently obtains its supply from surface water sources: the Watervliet Reservoir, processed at The Town of Guilderland Water Treatment Plant (W.T.P.); three Town-owned wells; and fully treated water from The City of Albany which obtains its raw water from the Alcove Reservoir.
