The Lindale Rural Water Supply is a member-owned, non-profit corporation incorporated under the Texas Water Code Chapter 67 and the provisions of the Texas Business Organizations Code that provides water for about 11,406 residents living in Lindale, a city in Smith County, Texas. Established in 1967, the Lindale Rural Water Supply System currently obtains from groundwater sources that come from the CARRIZO-WILCOX formation, primarily a major aquifer extending from the Louisiana border to the border of Mexico in a wide band adjacent and northwest of the Gulf Coast Aquifer.
