The Mountain Peak Special Utility District (SUD) provides water for about 16,008 residents living in the Midlothian area, Ellis County, Texas. Established in 1969, the Mountain Peak SUD collects water from artesian wells in the Trinity Aquifer. Additional surface water is purchased from the Joe Pool Lake through the City of Midlothian.
