The Ontario Town Benefit Area No. 1 provides water services to about 10,136 residents living in the Ontario area of Wayne County, New York. Ontario Town Benefit Area No. 1 Water Department obtains water from Lake Ontario through an intake of approximately 50 feet into water depth. The water is pumped to the Town of Ontario Water Treatment plant, where coagulation, filtration, chlorination, fluoridation, and UV irradiation processes are performed on the water.
