The Town of Riverhead Water District provides water for about 35,000 residents living in the area of Riverhead, New York. Established in 1727, the Town of Riverhead Water District currently obtains its supply from a groundwater source, 17 active wells located throughout the community that are drilled into the Glacial and Magothy aquifers beneath Long Island.
