The City of Sheridan Water supplies water to about 6,200 residents in the Sheridan area of Yamhill County. Sheridan Water Department collects water from underground springs in Stoney Mountain Watershed and the South Yamhill River. The water is delivered to the City's Water Treatment Plant, where it undergoes coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration processes, and is disinfected with chlorine to kill bacteria and microbial contaminants.
