The Town of Ballston Water District supplies water to about 9,288 residents in the Ballston area of Saratoga County, New York. The Ballston Water District buys water from the Town of Glenville and the Saratoga County Water Authority (SCWA). The Glenville water comes from four wells drilled into the Great Flats Aquifer, a sand and gravel aquifer underlying the Mohawk River, while the SCWA's water originates from the Hudson River. The Water District treats water with chlorine, coagulant, and caustic soda before distribution.
